Ministry of Small and Medium Business and Enterprise development has decided to undertake a rapid micro small and medium business COVID-19 Pandemic impact study using remote technologies. As an innovative step Ministry has designed and facilitated all virtual meetings and designed this study survey with the contribution of Professor S.P. Premaratne – University of Colombo, Professor H.M.S. Priyanath – Sabaragamuwa University and Senior Professor S.S. Kodithuwakku from University of Peradeniya and Mr. Samantha Pathirathna – Chairman and Lead consultant PASSAsia Consultancy group in Sri Lanka.

The Purpose of this study is to understand how COVID-19 Pandemic is impacting businesses. The information gathered will be used to better understand and support businesses and to inform the development of short- and long-term recovery resources. Ministry make an open invitation to all Sri Lankan to take part with us in this national effort to re-gain our prosperity with a long-term resilience to COVID-19 Pandemic impact and to be competitive in the world.
